Структурные белки

Структурные белки придают экстрацеллюлярным структурам механическую прочность, а также участвуют в построении цитоскелета (см. Клеточные компоненты и цитоплазма). В большинстве структурных белков преобладает одна из вторичных структур (см. Вторичные структуры белков), что предопределяется их аминокислотным составом.
